Mia Fratino–Esperanto for ‘My Sister’–is the brainchild of Director Tim Fitzpatrick and Creative Director and designer Amy Jones. The Australian label specialises in high quality luxury knitwear–ranging from classic silhouettes to directional statement pieces but always created from sustainably sourced and manufactured luxury yarns.
Finding its roots as a label designed “to stand proud and make a difference,” Mia Fratino distinguishes itself amongst the growing saturation of knitwear labels, providing a no-nonsense, minimalist, and sustainable approach to knitwear design and production–a technique that has garnered the label a dedicated customer base both at home and internationally.
Mia Fratino is designed by Jones’ in Melbourne, and produced at the label’s Sri Lankan factory, Ethical Knitwear Co. By owning its own production facility, the label can ensure their ethical approach can be maintained.
Ultra-soft cashmere in a variety of gauges sit alongside Merino wool styles–both 100% natural, biodegradable and environmentally responsible fabrications that are sourced from cruelty-free environments in Inner Mongolia.
